Clariflocculator double agitator peripheral drive type

The clariflocculator double agitator peripheral drive PRTPC2 type is installed on medium and large size treatment plant and consists of a mobile girder used as a walkway, a lateral traction trolley, a control unit, a gear motor, a slewing ring unit, a central cylinder defining the mixing and flocculation compartment, a couple of gate type electric agitators (three electric agitators in PRTPC3 type), a logarithmic profile scraper blade, a scum box, a skimming blade, a peripheral deflector and a notch weir. The control unit, which is installed at the periphery, drives the walkway around the tank center line, at the same axis as the slewing ring unit is fitted on. As for the type PRTPC2, the couple of electric agitators is installed inside the central compartment, in a location diametrically opposite to the middle of the tank. As for the type PRTPC3, the agitators are installed inside the central compartment, two of them aligned perpendicularly to the walkway axis, the third one on the axis, opposite to the other two. The sludge scraper blades remove the sludge precipitated on the sloping tank bottom and gather them in a toroidal ditch provided in the middle of the tank wherefrom it is then removed. The system consisting of skimming blade, scum baffle and scum box, allows the removal of any floating materials. Also the type PRTPDC2, having a diametral bridge and is therefore controlled by two trolleys placed at the periphery, can be supplied. It provides a double bottom and surface scraper system. The protection against overloads can be carried out by a dynamometric torque limit switch, duly set and complete with alarm signals displayed on the control panel. The standard construction is in carbon steel protected by hot dip galvanization; on request, the construction in stainless steel or aluminium is possible.
